Jheronimus Bosch Art Center

The Jheronimus Bosch Art Center is completely dedicated to the life and works of Jheronimus Bosch (also known as Jeroen Bosch). This renowned painter lived in 's-Hertogenbosch (better known as Den Bosch) between 1450 and 1516 and he and his works were very popular. Unfortunately, only 25 of his paintings and 8 of his drawings have stood the test of time.

Works of Fantasy

Jheronimus Bosch’s lively imagination made him stand out from the rest. Most of his paintings have biblical themes packed with fantasy creatures and double meanings. Many of his works remain a complete mystery to scientist and admirers. Jheronimus Bosch inspired many other artists, including Salvador Dali, Jorg Immendorf and Robert Gober.
