A Professional Congress Organiser (PCO) specialises in organising international congresses and meetings. We therefore recommend that you use a PCO when organising a major international congress. A PCO can take care of all the practical aspects, from bid support to marketing and from logistics to post-congress communications.

Do I need a PCO and how do I select one? 

Whether you need a PCO depends mainly on the size of your congress, your budget and the available manpower and expertise. In most cases, NBTC will advise you to work with a PCO. They take work off your hands and save on costs, which means a good PCO pays for itself.  

When it comes to selecting a PCO, keep in mind that you're looking at a long-term collaboration. You want to have the right ‘click’ with your PCO, on top of relevant experience and a good price.
