In October 2013 construction started on a new, flexible and sustainable conference, meeting and office building on the northern side of the RAI Amsterdam grounds. On June 2nd 2015 this building is officially opened.
- Flexibility, fitting all types of events
- A valuable addition to the northern part of the complex
- Comes with a new quality restaurant
The ground floor of the Amtrium will compromise a large 540 m2 ballroom, which can be divided into two equal parts, and a 600 m2 lounge linked to Halls 4/5 and 1. Sliding walls will allow the ballroom and lounge to be combined into one large space.
The restaurant can be found on the northern side of the building, on two floors, with its own exterior entrances.
The first floor has one large 106 m2 meeting room which can be divided into two. The second floor with a total space of 915 m2 is suitable for small expo’s, product presentations, poster sessions, receptions and dinners and comes with excellent views of the city of Amsterdam.
Golden rules & sustainability
The Amtrium is designed with a few golden rules in mind: no noise disturbance, no visual disruption and guaranteed accessibility. Sustainability is always a high priority. To reinforce their position as the leading sustainable exhibition and conference centre, the Amtrium incorporates the most sustainable techniques. The building therefore already received a four-star New Construction Design Certificate (Excellent) from BREEAM-NL.
