Lichtenvoorde is the scene of a blooming spectacle on the second Sunday in September. This year, a dahlia parade consisting of dozens of large and small wagons will roll through the streets. The millions of dahlias in dazzling colors, the supporting figures on high vehicles, and of course the inviting music, together make for an impressive parade. All the festivities around the Flower Parade Lichtenvoorde will take place for three days.

Parade floats, fun fair and fireworks
The Flower Parade Lichtenvoorde is a floral show resulting from months of work by the sponsoring organization, the designers of the huge parade floats, and the local fanfare bands hotels and bars. This culminates in a three-day celebration in Lichtenvoorde attracting tens of thousands of visitors.
Besides the flower parade and the corresponding presentation of the prize for the most creative design, there is a fun fair, an open-air market, and entertainment organized by the many pubs and hotels. The three-day festival is concluded on Tuesday evening with an impressive fireworks display.
A visit to the Flower Parade Lichtenvoorde can easily be combined with biking and walking tours through the Achterhoek. If you would like to spend the night, pay special attention to the website of the Flower Parade Lichtenvoorde or contact the Lichtenvoorde Tourist Office (VVV) and ask about their special offers.
