Founded by Janine Jansen and friends
The International Chamber Music Festival is founded by the highly-acclaimed classical violinist and violist, Janine Jansen. Janine has been given the Dutch Music Prize in 2003 and the distinguished Royal Philharmonic Society Instrumentalist Award in Britain in 2009. For the festival, she has invited several of her longstanding friends and collaborators to participate. These include Martin Frost, Boris Brovtsyn, Amihai Grosz, Torleif Thedeen and Maxim Rysanov. The festival also showcases the work of newcomers such as Christianne and Rik Stotijn, pianist Eldar Nebolsin, percussionist Martin Grubinger and the world-renowned Menahem Pressler.

The festival is held in special venues across the city. It is the perfect time to explore Utrecht's unique architectural and historical gems such as Vredenburg, Leeuwenbergh, Van Schijndelhuis, Paushuize, Centraal Museum and the Dom Tower.
