What’s there to do in Tilburg?

Tilburg has an extremely broad cultural offering. One of its highlights is the TextielMuseum, where you can learn about the present and past of the textile industry. You might also want to see Vincent van Gogh ‘s drawing classroom (Tekenlokaal¬) at Stadsmuseum Tilburg. This is where Van Gogh attended his first drawing classes as a 13-year-old boy. Tilburg also has the biggest pop stage in the south: pop centre 013. This building is notable with its rounded shape, which makes it appear seem as if hundreds of CDs are stuck to the building.

And of course there is ample opportunity to go shopping in Tilburg. The city’s highly varied shopping district is centred around Heuvelstraat.

Editor’s tip

Every year in July, everything in Tilburg revolves around the ten-day Tilburgse Kermis or Tilburg Fair. It is the biggest funfair in the Benelux and draws 1.5 million visitors every year. The entire inner city serves as the fairground and is filled with attractions, rides and happy people.
