Activities in Scheveningen
The Scheveningen Pier is the seaside town’s icon and was fully renovated in 2015. Daredevils can bungee jump and zipline here. If you prefer to take things easy, board the 42 meter Ferris wheel and enjoy the view of the Dutch coast.
Go for a walk along the boulevard and find a table at one of the pleasant restaurants or beach clubs. After your day on the beach, take a gamble at Holland Casino or enjoy a great musical at AFAS Circustheater.
Walking along the boulevard, you will also find the Kurhaus hotel and spa, right next to the pier. If holidaying with your children, we highly recommend you to visit the SEA LIFE centre, which has over one hundred fish species!
Events in Scheveningen
There are countless events in Scheveningen throughout the year. Try ‘Hollandse Nieuwe’ herring at Flag Day, admire the best fireworks from several countries at the Fireworks Festival, or start the new year with a fresh New Year’s Dive.
Getting there
It is a short drive from The Hague to Scheveningen; there are several underground and open-air car parks. It takes about one hour to reach Scheveningen from Schiphol Airport by rental car or public transport. Travel time by car or public transport from Rotterdam The Hague airport is about 30 minutes.

By public transport
Rotterdam The Hague and Schiphol airport offer a quick train connection to The Hague. It is a 15 minute tram ride from The Hague to Scheveningen.
By car
Scheveningen is easily accessible by train. Follow the P-route to one of the car parks.
Transport in Holland
Distances within Holland are easily bridged. Any location you might want to visit can be reached within three hours. The train, bus and tram will taken you pretty much anywhere you want to go. You can also explore Holland by bicycle. With over 32,000 kilometers worth of bicycle paths, Holland is a real cycling country with many fantastic cycling routes.
