With no more than 157 inhabitants, Bronkhorst is the smallest city in Holland. Every year in the run-up to Christmas, countless visitors travel to this monumental town to celebrate the festival Dickens in Bronkhorst. Several theatre and stage companies make every effort to turn this into a unique experience.

Stimulate the senses

While strolling through the Christmas market on cobblestone paths, you will enjoy the scent of open fire, hot chocolate, glühwein and sweet pastries. Listen to the choirs or midwinter hornblowers for that warm Christmas feeling. There is a nostalgic merry-go-round for children.

The festival is open to visitors from 11:00 to 18:00. The entry price for the city of Bronkhorst during the festival is 2 euros for everyone 12 years and over.

Parking is available free of charge at Het Hooge Wessel sports center in Steenderen. From here, it is a fifteen minute walk to Bronkhorst, but you can also take a covered wagon ride for free. It offers a shuttle service between the car park and Bronkhorst.
